To ensure fairness and transparency across MyTradesShop, we maintain an open feedback platform. As a policy, we do not remove reviews simply because they express a negative experience or lower star rating. However, we take immediate action when reviews violate our community standards or present provably false information.
Grounds for Review Editing or Removal
Our compliance team will investigate and edit or completely remove a review under the following specific conditions:
- Abuse & Profanity: The feedback contains offensive language, personal attacks, hate speech, or abusive threats.
- Private Personal Details: The review posts non-public personal information (such as private phone numbers, home addresses, or financial details).
- Provably Inaccurate Statements: You can supply concrete documentary proof showing that the claims made in the review are factually untrue (e.g., claims that work was never performed when contract records show otherwise).
How to Submit a Review Dispute
- Gather Evidence: Collect relevant documentation that proves the feedback is non-factual or misleading (such as time-stamped text messages, emails, quotes, invoices, or site photos).
- Contact Support: Submit a support request directly to our moderation team through our Help & Support Portal.
- Include Key Details: Provide the homeowner's name, the job lead ID number, and a brief summary explaining how the review breaches our community guidelines.
What Happens Next?
Once submitted, our trust and safety team will review the evidence provided. If the complaint is upheld, the content will be edited or permanently deleted from your public profile. If the dispute lacks clear documentation, we encourage you to post a polite, professional reply to the review on your My Reviews page to share your side of the story with potential clients.
