Managing your finances and maintaining up-to-date billing details on MyTradesShop ensures uninterrupted access to local job leads. This comprehensive guide covers how to retrieve invoices, update payment methods, resolve failed transactions, and understand our data security practices.

Accessing Invoices, Statements & Charges Reports

You can review, download, and print your complete billing history at any time through your account portal:

  • Monthly Invoices: Monthly activity statements are generated and ready for download in your dashboard by the first working day of each calendar month. A copy is also emailed to your registered address for tax and bookkeeping records.
  • Statements of Account: Navigate to My Account > Billing > Statements to view an itemized breakdown of historical payments, refunds, and promo credits.
  • Detailed Charges Report: Before raising a support inquiry about a specific fee, check your Charges Report under the Billing tab. This real-time log details the exact timestamp, lead ID, and amount debited for every lead or credit purchase.

Resolving Billing Discrepancies or Incorrect Charges

If you identify a potential discrepancy in your Charges Report or feel a fee was applied in error, please contact our financial support team. To help us resolve the issue swiftly, please provide the following details:

  1. The specific Job Lead ID or transaction reference number.
  2. The date and amount of the charge in question.
  3. A brief description of why you believe the charge requires adjustment.

Managing Payment Cards

To add or update your billing credentials, sign in and head to My Account > Billing > Payment Methods.

1. Adding a New Payment Card

We accept all major credit and debit cards (including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express). When adding a card, you will need to provide:

  • Cardholder name as printed on the card.
  • 16-digit card number, expiration date, and 3-digit CVV security code.
  • Billing address and postcode—this must match the official billing address registered with your card issuer. (Matching this address during setup also automatically verifies your proof of address!)

2. Managing Multiple Cards & Setting Primary Billing

You can store more than one card on file for flexibility. Designate your preferred card as the Main / Primary Card, and our automated system will prioritize it for lead purchases and credit bundle renewals.

3. Updating or Removing Cards

To delete an active card, you must first add a secondary valid payment card. To remove all billing details permanently from your profile, please contact our support desk directly.

Troubleshooting Card Addition & Processing Errors

Why Can't I Add My Card?

If our system declines your card during initial setup, perform these pre-checks before contacting support:

  • Verify that the cardholder name matches your bank records exactly.
  • Confirm your card brand is supported (Visa, Mastercard, or Amex).
  • Double-check that the billing postcode and address match your bank statement.
  • Verify that the card number, CVV code, and expiry date were entered correctly.
  • Contact your bank to ensure 3D Secure / online merchant purchases are authorized on the card.

Why Was My Payment Declined During Lead Purchase?

If a transaction fails while trying to unlock a lead, your account will be temporarily paused to prevent service interruptions. Common reasons include:

  • Insufficient Funds: Available balance is below the required credit or lead charge.
  • Bank Security Block: The bank flagged the transaction as unusual; calling them to authorize MyTradesShop usually resolves this instantly.
  • Expired Card or Changed Address: The card on file has passed its expiry date or billing details no longer match.

To restore immediate lead-purchasing privileges, simply add a replacement card or select an alternate primary card in your billing settings.

Industry-Leading Payment Security

Your security is our highest priority. All account pages operate over encrypted HTTPS (SSL) connections. Payment processing is handled by Stripe—a global PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment platform. MyTradesShop never stores sensitive credit card numbers or security codes on our local servers.
