Efficiently managing incoming job alerts on MyTradesShop helps keep your schedule organized and ensures you only spend credits on projects that fit your availability and trade skills. Here is a comprehensive overview of how to review, accept, or reject lead alerts, as well as how to file a complaint if an issue arises after purchase.
Viewing Incoming Job Alerts
When a homeowner submits a project matching your criteria, we notify you instantly via SMS text message, email, and directly within your MyTradesShop account dashboard.
You do not need to be logged into your account to inspect initial job details. Clicking the secure preview link sent in your email or SMS opens a summary page showing the project scope, location, and budget—with homeowner contact information hidden until purchase.
How to Accept & Purchase a Job Lead
If a job listing aligns with your skills and schedule, purchasing it to unlock the homeowner's phone number and email address is simple:
- Click 'Accept Lead': Located prominently at the top of the job preview page.
- Review Transparent Pricing: All lead prices and credit costs displayed on MyTradesShop are fully inclusive of VAT, with no hidden fees added at checkout.
- Confirm Terms & Purchase: Review the final credit/monetary cost summary, check the box to agree to our platform Terms & Conditions, and select Purchase Job.
- Access Client Contact Info: You will instantly be redirected to the full job entry containing the client's verified telephone number and email address. A copy of these details will also be emailed to you immediately for your records.
How to Reject Jobs & Refine Your Lead Stream
If you are too busy, travelling out of area, or feel a project isn't a good fit, click the red Reject button on the job preview page.
When you reject a job, a brief list of reasons will appear (e.g., 'Location too far', 'Schedule full', or 'Budget too low'). Selecting an accurate reason provides vital feedback to our machine-learning algorithm, helping us fine-tune future alerts so you receive fewer irrelevant jobs and more of the work you actually want.
While we understand it isn't always possible to respond to every notification, taking a moment to reject unwanted leads speeds up future matching accuracy.
Raising a Complaint or Dispute After Purchase
If you encounter an issue after unlocking client details—such as an invalid telephone number or a client who claims they never requested work—you can lodge a formal complaint directly from the job screen.
The complaint link is located on the same job details page where you originally accepted the lead. Selecting this link opens our dispute form, allowing you to submit notes for our support team to investigate.
